Just another new guy
I wanted to join your forum to gain some info on Monte Carlos. I purchased a 1996 Monte Z34 for my daughter and got it pretty cheap. Have had to so some work to it but overall the car is in good shape. I installed a new, aftermarket stereo in it but was unable to hook up the controls on the steering wheel. I can not find a wiring diagram and the previous owner had installed another aftermarket stereo that did not have the controls hooked up either. Trying to find out if I can still hook them up or not.
Hi Derrick, from Tarkio, MO
Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family Forum.
Glad to read that you got a super deal on your Monte Carlo
for your daughter. She is lucky 4-Sure : )
What type of stereo did you install ?
Give our members a chance to read your post, and hopefully
one of our expert stereo members will be able to help you.
Please post some pictures of your Monte, and we look
forward to your future posts.
Good Luck to you & yours in 2009.

Go to this link. Type in the year, make and model of your car. Then choose that you have an aftermarket radio installed. It then asks you what make and model of stereo. Type that in and it will give you the steering wheel control interface you need to make your controls on your steering wheel work.
