Thanks everyone, I drive a 2000 4x4 Dakota 4 door, and am restoring a 1974 nova.. .. I do have a question on the Monte, it has the dreaded drive somewhere turn off and it will not restart.. It has had new ign switch, starter, pcm , bcm, and some thing that was wired into ignition I cant tell you what it is has no name or distinctive markings. I have tried putting in a 5.5 resistor into the pass key set up but that hasn't worked. I am wanting to bypass the pass key , bcm, and alarm all together, has anyone tried this ? I really need a factory wiring diagram book. I am a retired certified tech, but I have worked on Chryslers most of my life. any help here would really be appreciated... thanks

Hi Jim, Welcome to MCF.
So are you getting any codes from your Monte, or is the security light lit? When you say the car will not start, are you getting a no crank, no power? What are your exact symptoms?
