Default Introduction

Hello group,

I live in Cleveland, Ohio and have an '06 Monte as my daily driver. The only mods I have done are to swap out the rear speakers for a pair of aftermarket 6x9's and when I replaced the tires I went to TripleTreds. I am currently at 43k miles and haven't done anything but oil changes. I am here mostly looking for ways to upgrade it without hacking it too much. I would like to use OEM parts when adding features whenever possible. (fog lights, etc.)

great to see another ohioan on the forum. how do you like your triple treads? i have mixed feeling about them.

do you have a 3.5 or 5.3? theres not to many mods for either one yet.

oem foglights run about 350 from what i hear. 100 off ebay

cold air inductions makes the best intake, they make halo/projector head lights, led tails and third brake lights.

milzy motorsports will make headers if they get enough requests.

idk if you've heard of morad parts company but you can upgrade suspension with used oem parts. there located in cleveland. there like a clean junkyard that deals with w-body cars.

there are many suspension parts from the 00-05 montes that fit on ours, just ask the vendor prior. MPD makes a ram air hood.

magnaflows make it sound nice.

programers.

anyways welcome to the forum and just remember once you start modding you cant stop.

Hey! Welcome to the forum! So as everyone else is asking, what engine?

No matter what engine you have, this intake is the best made for the 06-07 Monte's..great product. www.coldairinductions.com.

As Mak330 mentioned, Magnaflow exhaust sounds good on the V6's! And Magnaflows or Flowmaster sound great on the V8's.

At 43,000 miles, I would recommend you change the Dex-Cool coolant VERY soon. (we all know it say 5 year 150,000 miles as the change interval) For best cooling system results, and longevity, you should change the Dex-Cool as if it were regular green coolant. About every 25-30,000 miles.

I would also recommend you change your transmission fluid and filter at your mileage. Be sure to use Dexron 6 whenever you do that.
