Wow, this is great! I LOVE MONTE CARLOS! Have been all my life and finally got a 2000 SS a year ago! Only it got broken into over the summer and apparently it was easy for the criminals... good thing someone chased them away. Who knew these awesome cars were SO easy to get into!

Welcome to MCF!
Sorry to hear your car got broken into. I had a similar situation with a previous car. Not a Monte Carlo. A '91 Z24 with a very modded engine. The car was 4 years old at the time. Two turds broke into my car, and were trying to hot wire it IN MY DRIVEWAY, when a neighbor noticed and chased them off.
Left me with a busted up steering column, and apassenger door withthe sheet metal opened like a can opener. That's right. These turds didn't smash a window to get in. Thewedged a screwdriver between the door lock and the sheet metal. Then proceeded to rip the sheetmetal open until they could reach their hand in and move the door lock connecting rod with their fingers.

Needless to say these guys weren't pros.

Welcome to the web site.

Sorry to hear about your car. They want it bad enough they'll find a way to get to it.

I sure don't. The fact is I never take pictures of it because it's always dirty... and I mean DIRTY! That's what happens when you live in the country lol you can't even tell what colour it is sometimes!

Welcome Tara from Winnipeg. There are a lot of Canadians on this forum, including our newest moderator, Taz!
Sorry to hear about your break in attempt, and your rust issue. I haven't seen any with rust. Where is it at?
What color is it? Km's? etc.

just a little bit of rust on the fenders and other little spots. it's in dire need of a paint job though, there's buffing swirls all over it! it's black and it has *yikes* 170 000 kms on it lol. parts on the engine are nicely corroding.. i'm looking to do a whole bunch of custome stuff on it, as soon as i can the cash, i know a lot of people who will do some stuff for free which is awesome!
