Unhappy i need help

i have a 2006 Montecarlo ss and it does not fell like the traction control shuts off pleas help

you turn it off and hammer the gas it fells like its still on

Hmmm... Have you tried applying the E-Brake and "hammering" it? (i.e. a burnout) I know that even with the traction control disabled (on mine), it will still limit the output to the tires. I am pretty sure this is to prevent damage to the engine/transmission. If you are able to do a burnout, then I would say that the traction control is functioning properly when turned off.

ok i see my z28 and trans am were not like that but they were rwd not fwd thanks a lot what do you have done to your car

Even with the traction control off, if the car senses that one wheel is spinning faster than the other, it will cut all power and fall flat on its face. It is completely normal and designed to keep something from going "boom!"

Definitely different. My car has mostly performance parts slapped on with just a few cosmetic changes. It takes a while to get used to the FWD power.
