Hey welcome, what kind of monte do you have?

 

Hello, welcome to MCF!!!!

 

It is my first Monte Carlo. A 2006 3lt with the 3.9L engine. White with the light grey interior. That interior is going to be a problem with spots and stains so next week I am getting leather installed. It will be easier to clean and last longer I believe.

So far I have put 9,700 miles on it and could not be happier(except for the interior change).

The performance stock is great but I have been looking for a CAI application. Unfortunately there do not seem to be any yet for the 3.9L Monte. I have checked every manufacturer web site and several local outlets but have struck out.

I have another Wbody, a Blk/Graphite 2000 Pontiac GTP 2 dr coupe that I bought new. It has 142,000 miles on it so far and has been a great car to date. Judging by that i hope to have many happy years with my Monte.

Thanks. My mileage is a solid 28 on the highway, but so far I have averaged 23.5 on every tank. With the price of gas I watch it pretty carefully. The GTP will get 32-33 at a steady cruise on the hwy and average 25 for all around use. Can't beat supercharging for economy and performance.

With 142,000 miles on it the GTP could use a little freshening but it still hauls. Right now the 3.9L Monte is a pretty close match, I think the mid-range is stronger.

I am trying to set up and album so more pix will come.

Thanks, I take my camera with me usually and snap as many pics as possible.

I decided on White this time because I have had a run of Black cars and wanted a little less maintenance challenge for a change. Washing the car everytime I drive it was getting old.

I find I take pix of unusual situations some don't appreciate.

Here is one of one of my cars next to a mud puddle along the side of the road one morning after the rain. Beauty is where we find it!
