Welcome to the forum Ron...
It's always great to have a new member with tech knowledge.
I don't, but I'm learning a lot on this forum. Let us know
what problems that you've encountered with the Monte Carlo's
alternators and starters. Do you think the Monte has a good
electrical system ? Look forward to hearing about your ride
& your experiences. Safe/Happy miles to U

Welcome to the sight. It will be nice to hear another educated opinion on the electrical system.

Oh man, my ol car is a 96 3.1L with 179,000 miles. It nothing special, except for the fact it runs perfect and dosent burn any oil.LOL Spring time I will be buying a new Monte and wanting to get a few ideas in my head. I wont be selling the 96 though. It is going to be my daily driver, while Im chopping up my 01 Sierra. Can you tell Im a GM fan. Ill be scanning the electrical threads, and helping in anyway I can guys.

SpaceRider, my wife was looking over my shoulder while reading your post and said your car would look good next to my truck.I think she made her mind up!LOL
