Primarily looking for the performance, but I don't want to kill the reliability, or the millage. This is my main source of transportation.

then you might just need basic bolt on mods like: cai, tstat, pcm, and dp

I was thinking a cold air intake, U bend delete, drop a couple sizes on the pulley (aprox. 4.2-4.0), and pcm upgrade.

By the way, Holy Crap, your Monte moves out, WOW!!!

if you do a down pipe it will replace the ubend. stock pulley is 3.8 i go with 3.6 pulley and autolite #605 plug...and scan the car too if you have a scanner just to be on the safe side.

dp = down pipe
cai = cold air intake
tstat = thermostat

welcome fellow minnesotan to the forum 2 great looking cars and awsome motor backed with a t56 and 12 bolt that 87 should be a blast to drive

hey man hows it going? im from owatonna also. im not sure if you have seen my car around, mines the only yellow monte with 20s on it.
