Talking Hi, I'm a newbie from Minnesota

HELLO everyone,

Just found the site, looks interesting and helpful.

I have a couple of Monte Carlos.

2004 Monte SS Supercharged that is black and silver. It is not an Intimidator.

1987 Monte SS maroon with T-tops project car awaiting the new engine and tranny (355 backed by a T-56) and 12 bolt rear.

Looks like there are some darn nice rides at this site. I plan on looking for ideas for add on's for the 2004, and restoration parts and ideas for the 87. Maybe be able to help others with past experiences I have had.

Default 87 engine

355 cuin, 4 bolt, powder metal rods, speed pro flat tops 2 relief, vortec heads, double roller timing set, lt1-lt4 hot cam kit (218 228 dur. @ .050 and .525 lift roller cam, 1.6 roller rockers), crosswinds intake, Holley 770 street avenger. Dyno results: 441 hp and 454 lbft. above 400lbft at 3000 rpm where dyno started. Looking forward to getting the engine tranny package together, and in the car.

I'll have to get a picture of the 04 engine later, kind of a mess at the moment.
