I have a 2006 Monte Carlo with a 3.9l trans is going bad and I heard a lot of people having the same problem GM haven't found a solution to the problem because I love the car and don't want to get rid of it . Thanks

 

Welcome to the forum. Yeah the transmissions do go bad a lot in these cars.

 

Welcome, and if u really do love the car then u shouldn't mind fixing it.

 

What exactly is the issue? Will help those here trouble shoot for you.

 

Trans slipping some times it do it some times it don't and it's metal in fluid

 

Ehhh, eating your torque converter... thats gonna be spendy. But if you love the car it will be worth it to you. There are upgrades that they can do to the trans when the rebuild it.

 

The sooner you fix it believe the cheaper it is. Once more and more parts start to fail that price will double and even triple.
