Default Hi all, new from the Netherlands

I registered here because today I finally took delivery of my 86 Monte Carlo SS after waiting on it for months (US inland transport & international container freight)

I'm somewhat of a US car fanatic and own a couple (together w/ my brother)
The list as of today is:

1991 Corvette 6 speed
1990 Corvette automatic
1988 Camaro Iroc-Z coupe 5.0 5 speed
1987 Camaro Iroc-Z coupe 5.7 automatic
1986 Monte Carlo SS coupe 5.0 automatic
1983 C10 Silverado Stepside
1982 Pontiac Trans Am (now 350 automatic, complete '90 model electronics & running gear)
1982 Corvette (now a twin turbo 355/ZF6 speed full custom not even close to finished)
1977 Corvette 355 automatic, pro touring full custom

Here's some pics of the Monte after a lot of cleaning

It's in pristine condition, 55K miles. It's a Canadian car, has all the perf. options (9 bolt axle, perf ratio, J65 brakes, LB9 HO 5500rpm redline engine, T5) but it's not a 1LE. It does have all the other deletes (no AC, no electric anything except for power windows)

Awesome man, what are your plans for your cars?
Just a collection, or do you plan on individually modding each?

Wow! I especially love that Monte Carlo you picked up, it's in superb condition! And it's really cool to know there are people from other countries out there who are just as crazy about American cars as we are!

I just wonder how rare those cars are over in the Netherlands. Seems like you are probably one of a very few people over there that have those sorts of cars.

What's even more enlightening is that they are ALL GM cars! I love GM! Ford is good too, but I prefer GM (Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, etc).

I'm going to leave the 90 vette, the 88 camaro and the 86 monte stock. They're just too nice to modify. All of them are pretty low miles and completely original. The 90 vette is an original Japanese car, it has all the japanese stuff like the funky rear lights and the hot exhaust warning system (they have grass in a lot of parking areas so it's a warning so that the grass doesn't cath fire or so I was told) The others have already been modified in some way or other. The 91 vette has a tickled engine and will get a set of Mov-It brembos that I have here. The 87 camaro is a complete rebuild w/ a lot of mods.
The 82 trans am is already modified quite a bit, it's a 350 now w/ a WC T5 and the electronics are all 90 (incl headlight motor, gauges and all) I'm going to put some new wheels on that one and maybe some better brakes but that's it.

The 82 vette is a complete non stock build, I designed and built the suspension, the steering system, the fuel system, the cage and chassis mods...everything. I do all my own work except for painting.
The 77 is now done after a lot of time and effort. A pretty custom build too w/ home built rear coil over susp & many other mods.

The 83 stepside is custom here and there too, rolled fenders, slammed suspension, 350 engine w. TH400 instead of teh old 305/700R4. Exhaust is complete stainless too. I weld my own exhausts from stainless tubing and weld elbows (tig-ed)

I drive all of them (well, those that are registered, the 77 vette, the 86 monte obviously and the 82 trans am are not registered. The 82 vette is but it's not in a drivable condition LOL)
