hi all from england
Hi from a new member my name is paul 50 years old and live in batley, west yorkshire, england. Had a few previous american cars before 3 new edge 99 04 mustangs and 3 4th gen camaros one z28 and two ss. But thought this time would try something a little older. So a american car specialist I know in staffordshire had just imported a 1976 monte carlo so I went to look at it and bought it. Its come from ohio and has had only 2 owners from new and me the first owner in yorkshire. Its in mid blue metalic with white interior and front swivel bucket seats and only 15 thousand miles from new with the 350 and twin pot carbs.its a great old car and I love it all it needs to make perfect is a little paint here and there but no rust on it anywhere its built to last . Its good fun driving around in it all year round and it gets some strange looks from people driving around in their little euro boxes but people at car shows love it .thankyou paul

Welcome Paul!
Sounds like you have enjoyed a few good American cars in England!! Your Monte, do you know around where in Ohio it came from (I'm in the northern part of Ohio)?
Was it stored winters? Has it been restored or is it all original?
I'm sure any of the American cars you have had grabbed attention from people in your region. Thanks for joining and sharing your story so far.

Hello Paul and Welcome to the forum.
Indeed, quite the story you have shared with us. It would appear your quite the odd bird over your way, what with all the American muscle cars you have embraced. Wonderful yet once again your out turning your mates heads as you motor by.
Post a few pictures of the car near your home area, give us a tease as to the beautiful area you live in.
I visited England twice, once with the US military and another with wife and kid for a 6 day visit. Did the normal tourist things, Shakespeare's home, Warwick castle, Stonehenge, Buckingham Palace etc. Returned to the US on a 3 day passage aboard the QE2 in mid October. Loved the nights out on the bow, cold winds, waves breaking high. Made one feel small. Take care and stay in touch.
Here is a source for access to quite an array of vintage Monte Carlo parts should you find yourself in a bit of a pickle needing the hard to find part.
