I am just joining this forum for the first time. I own a 2003 Monte Carlo LS. The car was owned by a grandma who recently passed away and it has 34,000 miles. It also has the SS ground effects, decals, and checkered flags put onfrom the factory (she was a pretty cool grandma!). I recently put a Y-pipe w/ dual magnaflow mufflers on it, I took the PCM out to get it tuned, and I now am looking to upgrade the air intake since my old filter was destroyed by rodents...If anyone knows a good CAI for a 3400, let me know. Does the ZZP fit for the 3800 model fit on a 3400? https://zzperformance.com/products/z...12623063187567
This is not an SS??? WOW! It is sharp though! I believe those decals are the "Winner's Circle" decal. The color looks like berry metallic.
As for a CAI, I believe the ZZP one will fit. You may have to tweak some things. I am pretty sure the diameter of the throttle body opening on a 3400 vs 3800 differ, but I don't know by how much if it makes an issue.
Yep. Stock LS version with factory SS decal upgrades. Got all the documentation to prove it too. I couldn't believe it when I saw it on Marketplace with less than 33k miles.
Thanks for the info on the CAI I'll look at the thread. Never heard of the nationals before I'll look into it. Definitely plan on going to some shows this year with it!
Welcome to the MCForum, Nice looking ride for sure. The 3400 motor someplace around a 100K might have an overheating problem and will require new headgaskets. That happened to me. Good idea to keep the service up on the car. Here are some information tips to help with that.
