Hey my name is mike. i am 16 yrs old and just picked up my first car yesterday which happens to be a 1988 monte carlo ls with a 305 in it. so here are a few pics of my monte. sorry about the size of the pictures. the car only had 49k miles on it and it is in very good shape. for some reason i just fell in love with it when i saw it.

 

oh and i will try to get some better pics tomarrow. it has been raining non-stop for the past few days.

 

That's pretty sweet for a first car, some of the members here have around the same model and could help you out when it comes time for some mods. As our favorite moderator, Mr. Van Winkle, would say... "This is a ***** free zone" Haha. I like the color. What do you have planned for her?

thanks. as for the miles the car only had 49k so it was pretty low. the car itself is in great shape. as for what im planning to do to it. first and foremost it needs some new paint. that blue you see is a cheap 100 dollar mako job the origional color was an ugly beige. actually the first stuff needs to be misc stuff like new tires. needs some new exaust. later on down the road i would like to but some better exaust on it along with a nice purdy new crate engine (wont be happening for quite some time.) really i would like to make it competitive at the strip but still be a daily driver.

 

Cool ride, man...lots of potential there. I haven't seen that front end often. Does anyone know if it was specific to that year? Keep us posted with any mods!
