Default Hey Everyone

I came here because I bought my car and then I realized that I'm totally lost when it comes to upgrading it.

I just bought a 1986 Monte Carlo SS. It was a dream come true. I got a great deal on it.

This is my 6th car, and I'm only 17. I saved up all summer and basically stole it at $1700.

I want to restore the exterior/interior and make it faster, but I'm lost. So like I said earlier, I came here.

It's got about 93k and its in pretty good condition. A little rust, and a few stress cracks in the paint. No dents though. It just needs a paint job. Right now money's tight, but it'll be going up in a few months. As far as cars go, I had a Chev K1500, but it was a lemon. I had a Ford Probe, and I really regret that. Bad tranny. I bought it for like 300, so I just junked it. Then I had a Dodge Shadow, but I crashed that. And after that it was a '79 BMW 320I. It was a beautiful car, and I bought it for less than scrap price because it wasn't running. Unfortunately, I got a new job, and I needed a dependable car, but didn't have the time to make it dependable (I will never try to wire a foreign car again.) So I sold that and got a '91 Pontiac Bonneville. It was a good beater, but I hated it. I needed some style. And that's how I arrived at my Monte.

Right now my top priority is body work. I planned on buffing/waxing today, but my tune-up took a lot longer than planned. So that comes tomorrow. Along with pics.

93K is low miles for a 86 SS.

Good Luck on the detailing.
