The front licence plate delete for the Dale Jr editions was a standard cover with a #8 decal on it. If you're simply looking for a cover to fill the indent in the front bumper, any 2000-2005 front cover will fit. But if you want the #8 cover, that's more difficult. They only come in Victory Red. And they only came with the Dale Jr editions. Often times if the car was originally sold in a state that requires a front licence plate, the dealership would keep the cover piece you're looking for. Or the car would show up without it. But it was supposed to be included in the trunk with the other Dale Jr items that weren't installed.
If you're extremely lucky, you can find one on ebay or craigslist or on a forum from someone who is willing to give up theirs. But if you're absolutely in desperate need for one, you may have to go to a dealership and order one. If GM even has any left.
Many people simply opted to buy a standard cover, paint it Victory Red, and put a store bought Dale Jr #8 on it themselves. Not the same as the real thing, but a lot easier and cheaper.

I just compared mine. The "8" that's on the front licence plate cover is the exact same one as the "8" on the driver's side rear pillar.

As others are saying I would just one color matched and then get a vinyl decal. Seeing as the one from gm seems a bit pricey, I would just go straight vinyl. A good vinyl guy (or girl) would be able to get it matched almost perfectly, and would probably be like 20 bucks tops. My aunt does vinyl, but when we couldn't get stuff from her in time we would use a local guy, and he would have done something like this for probably even cheaper than 20 bucks.

I have 2 covers for sale, if you need one send me a pm and if you can't send pm's yet feel free to shoot me an email. They're not red but you could always get them painted.

They are hard to find sometimes. I would buy one and paint it. It's small enough you could do it with a spray can. and make sure you post some pics here. LINK https://montecarloforum.com/forum/si...-thread-32575/
