Thank you red nightmare, but no the first owner bought the car brand new in '05 and since has moved several times and in the process the papers got misplaced. I've never checked with GM if i could get the papers or some duplicates, i don't even know if they could do that?!

they can't send a copy of the original unfortunately... Only the original owner can I think.
But they can send you something like this...(this is what I got)
ask for the vin on the page too so people know its yours!

What is the build date on the car? The month should give you a general idea what # you got.
When I called I kinda scared the woman a bit.. she said "You have #7 out of 2883 produced" And i kinda screamed a bit too loud... "WHAT!!!!!! NO WAY!"

LOL i'll probably end up doing the same thing. But i'll have to go outside and check the build date and get the vin number, and when i do ill call that number and talk to them. Ill let you know what they say
