Default Hello from PA!

Hey, there! I'm Ashley.
I've had my Monte Carlo SS for about a year, but it was my dad's prior to that. He bought it right out of the showroom in 2007, but he decided to get something new last year and passed the car down to me!
I fell in love with it right off the bat, and I plan on driving it for as long as I can and keeping it even longer. Basically, I don't plan on ever getting rid of it. Bring on the Antique plates.

I definitely plan to do some work to it, but to be honest, I don't know too much about that. So that's what really brought me here. I'll probably lurk around the forums for a while reading and asking questions. But I promise I'll pop up

Hey! Thanks!
It's dark red- one of the custom color orders. It's in my signature picture

Thanks! I really love the color, too. It's also got black leather interior.
So, mods. Definitely want to make it faster and "throatier" but I don't even know where to begin, to be honest... So that's why I need to start delving into the forum and start reading. I've heard a little bit about changing the exhaust to give it some extra horsepower and make it a little louder. But I want to do more than just that. I want to make it completely BA.

And MillerMonteSS- Thanks so much, but your car is hot!

Awe shucks... Thanks... It takes a lot of work but when you start to modify your car, it will eventually begin to mirror your personality. My best advice is to ask a lot of questions to get a lot of options. At that point, it will be up to you to mold the car into something that you love. Whatever you choose to do, make sure you are doing it because YOU want to. Don't get too caught up with other people's opinions. In the end you are the one who needs to be happy with the result.

P.S. If you like the sig pic, check THIS out...

Definitely a gorgeous car.

I don't want to change the look of my car too much, just the performance. And I'm big on sound (geeky?) but I don't want to make it sound like a ricer car... obviously. Just a bit louder and throatier. Meaner.
Maybe down the road I'll change the aesthetics, but that's not at the top of my list at the moment.

Now I just have to figure out where to begin and set up a rough timeline! And get a real job so that I have money... :x

Welcome from another PA'er!!!

Start looking for a set of used Doug Thorley headers, Coldairinductions.com CAI, and swap out the mufflers and I think you'll be pretty damn happy!
