hello, new here, owner of two montes
hello everyone, new to the site but not to the cars. i own 2 montes a 86 and 2000. i will post pics as soon as i figure out the rules and regs of the site. i am 36 and father of two , son 14 and daughter 9 going on 16. my son and i have been rebuilding my 86 for 5 years now and within the last year bought a 2000 with 82K. i work in industrial power transmission sales and distribution in Ohio. i look forward to asking and giving advise on tech/car issues and sharing stories. thank you all in advance for allowing me to participate.

thanks for the welcome space, it is real nice today in Warren, not a cloud in the sky. to bad i need to spend all day trying to figure out why my 2000 won't stay running. never had an issue until thursday, ran like top, now all of a sudden over night it won't run unless i keep feathering the gas pedal and i have no check engine light, needle in the haystack type day here.
thanks
Luke

Hi `Luke,
Sorry to read that you are having a problem...Have you checked your fuel filter or fuel pump ? Do you have the original `cat on it ? They can clog up & cause problems ?
Are you mechanically inclined ? or do you know someone that has automotive experience ?
Make a post on your problem if you can find it & be as detailed as you can about your Monte Problem...Good Luck!

yes sir i did post it in the tech help section, yes i am very mechanically inclined and have not replaced the cat yet, i've seen several views of my posting but no suggestions yet. i am going to go prod around with my ohm tester in a few to see if i can find a bad connector somewhere. hard to pinpoint an issue without a check engine light ...
thanks
