95-05 Monte Carlo Dual exhaust with Flowmaster Muffler | eBay Not what I have on my car but this is a pretty good exhaust setup for the price. Then just delete the resonator and replace with a magnaflow glasspack. It'll sound good. My friend has this done on his 3.8 and sounds great!

Welcome great site have learned alot here. I have a 2001 MC SS L36 {3800] Got a CAI from ZZ performance took about an hour and a half everything fit great looks great the price wasn't to bad . Just for A DP for the exhaust you just have to do a little at a time .Yes you do get antsy to get it done but take your time and do it right the first time an any exhaust work go to a good shop and ask question because there is no such thing as a dumb question it never hurt s to ask.

The choices out there are not as plentiful for the 3400. But they are out there. The 3400 was never intended to be a performance engine. With the right exhaust system, you can make it sound better. But it will never be mistaken for a V8.
If you're thinking of a Cold Air Intake (CAI), don't get one that is open to the engine compartment. They're more of a Warm Air Intake, and won't help your performance at all. In fact I know someone who lost performance with a warm air intake.
The important thing is to keep your expectations realistic. If money is an issue, do lots of research before buying. And don't always take a product's website claims as gospel truth. They always give you best case senario results. You'll want to get feedback from people who actually purchased the product. That's where forums come in handy.
The 3400 engine was also used in the 1999+ Grand Am. Something to keep in mind when trying to find info on actual engine parts.
