Mamonte's looks to be right down at the shoreline, only boulders separate him from the road. Mine was taken at Asilomar State Beach, the road is a good 15' above sea level.

Woohoo! Got my license plates today, and the registration card with my name in the RO box. Should get the pink slip this week.

Crazy that I still get exited over small stuff, but the mind runs wild wondering if there's some lien on the car or other complications when buying from a small used car lot.

Yay!

Now on to having my old vanity plates replaced and attached to the Monte

My picture was taken off of 1 not to far from Half Moon Bay, so about 100 miles North up the coast! .

I have plenty of pictures of my car in the Monterey part too, Big Sur area is gorgeous too....

Do you have a load in your trunk? or did you lower the rear end? Looks low to me? Or is it just uneven dirt you are parked on?

That picture of 680! OMG, I hate the grid lock sometimes...

Yes, returning from Costco. 2 cases of bottled water and another case of adult beverage.

Springtime downtown

One Month with Monte - updates and stuff

Bought on 4-15
Miles driven since getting the car - 3020
Average MPG - 25
Repair costs - 0

Work done - major interior clean up, scratch removal, replaced remote clicker.

Needs:
Parking brake adjust - does not hold.
Rear window defogger repair - no heat-um-up
Ignition lock repair/replace - key-in-lock microswitch malfuction (or something's hacked to replace key. I think I have a repo or lien sale ...)
Radio/CD player replace - won't load CDs.
Rear bumper cover replace - Bad tow or what? torn on left side of license plate box
Both tail lights missing a fastener.
Seat latches missing *****.
Rattle in front right speaker.

Gremlins:
Had the traction light come on while driving to work on a dry day, freeway cruising. Arrived at work, shut car off, counted to 5 and restarted, light went out.
Auto-on headlight sensor inconsistent. Lights come on when I think they are not needed, but don't come on in situations my '05 Expedition's lights came on like foggy days or in tunnels.

Pondering
Trans flush
20s
Flowmaster
Shocks

Bottom line - Really glad to have chosen a comfortable ride. Distinctive too, in my town you see hundreds of Impalas and Impala rent-a-cars, but not many Montes. I like exchanging nods & thumbs up with other drivers those few times we cross paths.
