Hi all,
I am new as a registered user, but I know of this community as it's popped up A LOT in my searches since I've bought my new Monte. I've appreciated all of the good information from all the users here, so it was about time to join.
I have a 2004 Monte Carlo SS. A friend of mine dubbed it 'Die Hard' after I got my vanity plate, "YPEKIAY", YP-E-KI-AY or 'YIPPIE KY AYE'. Yeah, some people have trouble with it, but I like it. It's for fun, just like the Monte is.
It has a Black ex, and Black interior. No modifications, yet. This is my second Monte. I had a 1999, 5th gen, Monte Carlo SS, Red, with grey cloth interior. I traded it in on a new 2003 Xterra, and have missed it since. When I saw this one, it was at the right time at the right, price, so I got it. I picked it up with 54,400 miles on it, and have a little over 55,000 on it now. It's pretty much my 'nice' day ride; it doesn't go out in 'conditions' and stays inside in the winter.
I am planning a few easy mods this summer, and I'd eventually like to black it out; tinted windows all around, new black headlights and black led taillights, possibly an SLP grille (not sure yet), and if I get froggy some new rims (I am liking these right now) and tires.
