Cool Hello everyone.

My name's Andrew.

Came across this board and thought I could find it helpful.

I've got a 96' Monte Carlo that's still alive (somehow) with 284k and counting. When the amazing 3.1L dies, it'll get an L67. (which is why I signed up because I found the thread about the swap via Google)

I work as a Technician in a local Ford dealership. So if anyone has any questions about a Ford vehicle, I can attempt to help.

Thanks
Andrew

I bought it from my work (Ford dealer) for a good cheap price.

For a price that I couldn't complain.

Its lasted me almost 30k so far (bought at 250k) with basic maintenance. It's got some random coolant leaks.. so I don't know if the intake gaskets are going out, or if the head gaskets are leaking. The trans also needs serviced but I'm afraid to touch it without knowing any maintenance history.

So we'll see how soon I end up changing the powertrain out for an L67/4T65 setup.
