I tried uploading pics, but I guess I haven't quite figured it out, despite reading the guide. I'll figure it out yet.

Let's try this:

Thanks!

In one of the pictures you'll notice that the vinyl on the roof is severely cracked. I would think that replacing it would be costly, if I could actually find a proper replacement at all. I've also read that water can get trapped underneath it and cause severe rusting. If I could remove it, that would be fine. But..what is under there? Is it just bare metal or would it be painted the same color as the rest of the car? Also, how hard is it to remove it, and do you guys have any tips on how to do so so as not to cause damage underneath?

I wish I could help prime. I would just take it to a body shot though.

Yea, I second that on either taking it into a body shop or even maybe call GM? Don't try and see for yourself b/c then it may damage something and end up costing you more.

The metal under the top will be unpainted bare metal. If you were wanting to get it off, the best idea would be to remove it and properly sand the top to remove all the rust. Id take it to a body shop after to have it sprayed. You COULD sand / spray the whole car, but that is purely up to you to get all the rust off and give your car some new shine.
