I've never had any problems in the snow. I'll admit the 3900 doesn't like to get traction in snow.... but that's why I leave tcc on in town when it's snowy, it does actually help in snow, as much as I hate it overall.

Also, if you're driving in rain, the tcc will actually force you to slow down if it senses the car is hydroplaning.... this one scared the ever-loving CRUD out of me one day... Thought my trans took a dump because all the sudden there was no power after I hit a puddle. but then once the traction returned... the car was fine.

It's only been about a month since I've had my 02 Monte, so I can't help with the winter driving. I know my '77 couldn't hook up without about 200 lbs. of sand bags in the back though!
