Hello!
Hi E1, I'm new to this forum and would like to introduce myself. I just bought a 'new' 06 SS (78 miles) that was sitting at the local dealers lot for 2+years. I think I got a smokin' deal that I had been working on for a few weeks. The economy, V8 and gas prices, their motivation to sell all worked to my favor. I love this car!!! I owned a muscle car (Mopar) in the 70's and this car brings back rush of sheer power and speed of yesteryear. The front wheel drive is taking a little getting used to, having trouble keeping it straight when passing at highway speeds (accelerator nailed). Instead of the rear end getting squirrely, it's the front end, lol. Anyway, I'm enjoying my new youth in my 06 MC SS and look forward to talking to you who have experience and knowledge about my car.
I would like to know if there are upgrades such as; computer chips, headers, maybe even getting that lope with a cam, but nothing too involved. Any ideas?

Especially to find a new one with only 78 Smok'in miles.
What color & options do you have ?

You got a great find in your left over '06. I understand how that works. My '04 sat on the dealer's lot never sold untilI bought it last summer. I am surprised that your 06 SS model never sold earlier, but it worked out great for ya!
You have a rarity indeed. The2006 & 2007 Monte Carlo SS's are the first production V8 model Monte's since1989.
