Hello
Hello Im am also a new guy to Monte carlos when I set out to purchase a newer car (to replace my 10mpg truck) I was out looking for a Camaro or Firebird, I even checked out a Pontiac GTP. But this 2004 Monte carlo SS "Intimidator" caught my attention. I admit it I was once a Monte Carlo Critic, but then I couldn't get over this "Intimidator". I was hooked, my wife says obsessed.... ok i bought the 1/18 scale model "Intimidator" too and there is an awesome picture of one on the desktop wallpaper on my PC...... thats ok right? lol

RE: Hello
Welcome to the MCF MyIntimidator!
The way you got your Intimidator is very similar to how I got my car. I was looking at other cars including the new GTO's (2004-2006) andPontiac Grand Prix GTP, just to name a couple. The '04 Dale Jr. edition really caught my eye. I too was hooked. After I bought the car, I too got a 1/18 scale model version of my car. People asked me if I was going to store the car (the real one) and keep it in a garage as a collector's item. My answer was the same as a lot of signature edition Monte owners here. The car was made to be driven. If I wanted to stare at it, I'd buy the scale model.

RE: Hello
Welcome Nathan from the far north-west side of the country, from a great-lakes state Intimidator owner, also. There are several of us here. Keegan (Explosivesoundz) from PA is another Intimidator owner with mods done. He is currently returning from 495 days of being deployed overseas.
I also have the 1:18 scale die-cast. My wife got it for me.
I am currently getting 25mpg on 93 octane Amoco. I highly recommend a cold air intake and at least a u-bend delete pipe, or something similar to my 3" stainless ZZPerformance/Magnaflow downpipe. I only got 22.5mpg when I got it, and I am now pushing 290-300hp and better milage.
Welcome again.
