It's all in the tune, those little turbos don't push much boost, and it's pretty equivalent to the supercharger build you want to do, but can turn into much more for cheap. Plus you don't have to change your stock engine much.

I just remembered I know a father son team that ran late models on short track ...they must have the equipment or knowledge .... I see him at work now and then, if not busy I will ask him
