Default Greetings

Greetings from a new member.
I own a 2003 Monte Carlo SS.
I bought it from my brother in law, it had another motor that was super charged. The plan was to swap the intakes so I could have the charger, but it turned out the motor was a 98 to old to do with out Jerry rigging.
At some point would like to find a super charger for it.
Looking forward to the info on this site.

to the forum!

Was the 98 from a grand prix? Because it wouldn't have been too old to use, it's still the same Series 2 that you would need. You just need A LOT more than the blower, you would need everything from the heads up.

The term you would need to use while searching is "Top-Swap" and you'll find plenty of information about supercharging your car for cheap.

If you want a package deal, and to buy from a vendor, I would honestly just look into a small turbo kit from ZZP

I don't know what make it was from, but it was a series 2 and the guy that sold it to bro-n-law said it would work, the plan was to take the upper intake and swap over while fixing my intake leak all at same time. The shop that was going to do it said the wiring harness didn't match and something else would have to be rigged up to make it work... I think that motor is likely gone from that shop now. I'll have to do more research on the "top swap"
I'm a bit leery of going turbo have heard to many bad stories of people killing their motors
Thanks for the info and the welcome

It's all in the tune, those little turbos don't push much boost, and it's pretty equivalent to the supercharger build you want to do, but can turn into much more for cheap. Plus you don't have to change your stock engine much.

You'll see in the research you do, feel free to ask questions
