Default Got A tough choice

been looking for a 2000-2005 monte for a while and i found a few and narrowed it down to 2 choices that are very tough
1. 2004 white ss monte 54k miles immaculate condition 10k$ (before negotiating)
2. 2004 Black ss intimidator dale earnheart edition 115k miles good condition but previous owner was a smoker so there is cigarette burns all over the place even a few in the plastic console and it smells like a ashtray 8500$ (Before negotiating)
what do you guys think?

that is a tough call, and i love white ss, but the intimidator is supercharged and will be worth more in the long run. as long as maintenance has been good it is cheaper and the interior parts are easily cleaned/replaced from the junkyard and youll have spent less for a more valuable car. just my two cents.

I would NOT pay 8.5 for a monte with that much smoke damage. And 115K. Pretty much you have to replace the whole interior and get the carpet cleaned really good. Find the price of all thoes things subtract it from his price and that's a fair price. *** hole smoking in an intimidator SS......

Of the two I would probably go for the intimidator, yes I know the interior needs work but it also gives you a great bargaining tool when negotiating the price as you will want to factor in how much it's realistically going to cost you to fix everything, that being said, the engine alone would make me do it as I wish my car had the supercharger.

Well that and the fact that I have no sense of smell after a motorcycle accident back in the 90s so the smoke smell wouldn't bother me

I would certainly use all the smoke damage as a big lever and work the price down on the intimidator, if they won't budge then they can go stuff themselves. If its as bad as you say, it'll time some time to get the smell out and then replace all the pieces that are damaged. The white one sounds decent though too, especially with only 54k miles.

I know it's much more fun with the L67 but I'd probably choose the White SS - seems like it was taken care of better. It sounds to me that it's not the case with the Intimidator.

I'm nit a big fan of superchargers/Turbochargers. So my choice would be the White SS. I am Also a smaker. But there are only 3 cigarette buns in my car and I inherited them. I don't like a car to smell like smoke. And I know how much work it is to get that smell out.
But, if you are willing to to that work and nothing else is wrong with the car, And you can got the price down to compensate for the cost of removing the smoke and Burns, I'd take the DALE. When you are done the value of the car will be more than what youpaid. The car will make you SMILE every time you step on the gas. And is you've seen Leprechaun's car, the Monte is very impressive in Black!

thats a tough call..... if it were me i would get the white one though.... lower miles, interior not trashed, and you can always top swap it if you want it supercharged down the road....
