Glad I found this forum :)
ORIGINAL: RickCoMatic
I started with the stuff the PO neglected. Air Filter: Stock. But the PO NEVER changed the original in 68,000 Miles. Cabin Air Filter: Same deal. Plugs and Wires. Oil and Filter. Fresh Brake Fluid. Top-off Tranny Fluid. Suck-out the Power Steering Fluid and add fresh stuff.
That brings you up-to-date on Scheduled Maintenance.
I guess everybody's 1st Performance Mod is the "U-Bend Delete" ... Substituting a straight piece of exhaust pipe replacing the U-shaped piece that houses the O-2 Sensor in the Exhaust System.
I haven't gotten that U-bend done yet; but it's in the works.
Supposedly, the easiest and cheapest Mod for an additional 5 Horse Power.
Requires welding in the new piece. I need some weekend MIG Time but guys with the MIG have no room in the shop for my Monte and there's a new 10-Inches of snow blowing around outside. I'm not working outside until I can crawl under the car on dry warm pavement!

Welcome Matt from Memphis to the MCF family. Glad to have you aboard. We'll be more than glad to answer any and all of your ?'s here. The search engine works quite well here also, unlike other forums that I frequent (being a new Pontiac Solstice GXP owner also).
Looking forward to pics and new "face" in discussions.
