Thanks guys. I found A LOT of info on here that I was looking for. I'm not sure yet if I want an 06-07 ss with a v8 or not. Im very familiar with the 3.8, its been a real work horse for me. I'm guessing the gas milage on the v8 isn't much more than the v6. btw I'm in Benton Harbor, mi. I'll keep you updated on what I get. Thanks Again

I've been keeping track of fuel mileage in my 06 (with the LS4 V8) for over a year now and my overall average is 18.9mpg. Highest fuel mileage I've ever got is 24.5mpg; that tank was earlier this summer and almost all (~95%) highway cruising at 68-70mph. Usually average 18-20mpg when more city driving is factored in. I'm not aware, and I mean I'm really not aware, of anyone with the LS4 that has got above 25mpg. I used to have a 2003 SS with the NA 3800 and I usually averaged 25-28 with that.
