Also, I thought the door sill should say "Limited Edition" or "Pace Car," but mine says "Monte Carlo."



Observations:
Car runs like a dream! P0440 code stored. Removed engine cover, rear valve cover gasket leaks onto the intake side. Appears to have engine heater, there's an electric cord/plug near the air box that runs down to bottom front of engine area somewhere.
What do you guys think of her?

I also noticed I am missing the "Pace Car" decal on the ground effects below the doors, and "Monte Carlo" at the top of the windshield.

 

Some things were optional to the buyer. My friend has a pace car that she got new and she wanted it without the checkered decals on the sides or the windshield decal on. I believe she may still have the decals. They still gave them to her at the dealership but left them in the trunk.

 

I may add these, and fix the fender.

I found some of the checkered flag decals.

They both are aftermarket copies without the fade effect of the factory decals. But the ones in the second link come with the "MONTE CARLO" windshield banner and the Taz decals for both sides and the trunk.

I was looking for the "Official Pace Car" decals, but so far no luck. If I find them, I'll post the link.

Maybe contact member "jarheadbobandmax". He has some connections with a graphics company. He may be able to help make some up for you. Without having to pay a dealership an arm and a leg for overpriced factory decals.
