Finally Found Monte

Finally Found Monte
To all,
After looking for the past four months, I finally found my Monte . It's a 2007 LT-3 Precision Red, with Lt gray cloth interior. I spotted this one after a failed purchase of a 2004 Monte SS with only 12,000 miles. The 04 was found on-line in Davenport, Iowa at a dealerhship and after making the deal and starting over to pick it up, they called and said when they brought it inside to detail, they found major paint damage due to acid rain. Not wanting to paint the whole top of the car, I passed. I had spotted this 2007 at a dealership about twenty miles from home, and made the deal.
The 2007 is in great shape, and is only going to require a buff and wax to bring out some minor automatic car wash scratching. It has 65,000 miles, but the dealer had it as a Certified used car which came with an extended
12 month, twelve thousand mile bumper to bumper warrenty.
I already have an appointment to have dual exhaust installed (flowmaster 44's) and working on finding wheels that will look good on the red (18"-20")
Any idea's on wheels ????
I also think I will have silver stripes added at some point.
Thanks to all that responded to my original post, looking for another Monte.

Congrats on the Monte!
I'm pretty sure you are going to love it! Have you listened to exhaust clips of Maganflows on the 3500? Just wondering, its all a matter of personal preference, but IMO the Magnaflows sound better on these V6's. Either way, i'm sure you will like having dual exhaust with a tone to them!
I would not go any bigger than 18" rims personally.
Here is a thread with a sound clip of the Magnaflows on my 3.5L

Congrats....
Congratulations on your "New to You" MC !
When I was looking for mine ( a 05 SS ) I found one
in Louisville KY for $12k with only 28,000 mi. on it.
It looks just like the one I have now except it had the gray
cloth interior, but I could'nt get up there and get it.
However, I'm very happy with what I have now.
Ditto on the Magnaflows. They sound good on the 3.8 also from
what I can tell. Summer project ?

Mamonte,
I wanted to thank you for the advice on the Magaflow mufflers, I had the shop put both the Flowmaster and the Magaflow on, and far away, the Magaflow's sounded the best. I did something a little different on the extensions, I went with oval instead of round, and the shop was able to cut oval releafs into the lower panel, which makes it look like a factor installation. The sound is really great for a 3.5 engine, just mellow enought.
Thanks, again
