I did a fender well intake on my 02 ss and I love it. Remove the whole stock airbox and get a zzp pcm tray or zip tie the pcm to the frame so It wont move around. Then route the air dict to the fender and put on your filter, I used K&N. Dont just sit the air filter on the fender or have it too low because sometimes water will collect there, Just use some zip ties and tie it to the frame of the car...

if just doing a FWI you should be ok without tuning. its one of the most common mods and the mod that got me hooked lol.

i dont suggest flex duct thought... use hard PVC or ABS plastic and if you need to bend use a rubber elbow. the flex tube will create turbulent air and slow air flow. smooth pipe is better.

i have many tubes and pieces at my disposal. i plan to keep the stock duct so i dont need to mess with the iat sensor and couple a triton v 10 air duct (nice oval to round fat tube) to that . it was a bend which will put my in the fender. gonna use hard battery shielding to make a flange to sumwhat seal the whole to the fender. i think it'd b a lotta fun to have a triton air tube on my chevy. just for kicks. we'll c how it fits or comes together tomo
