Welcome Chad to the Monte Carlo Forum. I'm on the west side of Michigan, close to Lake Michigan. We get lake effect snow. AT LEAST 4-5X what the east side of the state gets. We can get a couple feet of snow at a time. That's why I drive a "taildragger" FWD car. You either got to have 4WD or FWD around here to get thru the snow. RWD just won't do it. Been driving for almost 40 years now, all here in Michigan, most here on the west side. I've had 4x4 trucks, SUV's, and I think my Monte, with a good set of tires, like Michelin Energys, will out drive ANYTHING on the snowy road! PERIOD! Definately out brake them. And get better milage.
