It should be very negative at idle and low negatives (closer to 0) while driving normally. The more gentle the acceleration, the more negative it will be.
Basically just think of the left half as an old school vacuum gauge on a naturally aspirated car - thats what it should be doing under normal driving.

that`s what I`m getting now after vac line replacement. used to be -10 at idle, now -5. highway on ramps a lotta fun now, whoo! At 77 I`m likely to get my first speeding ticket (didn`t get caught before).
