Hey everyone, just got my Monte Carlo a few days ago, and you guys have already been a huge help. I bought a used '06 Monte Carlo LT1, traded up from the beater '96 Cavalier with 160,000 miles on it! After the 2000ish redesign I have wanted one, but the whole money thing kept me away until apparently I was deemed credit worthy enough to buy one over 60 months. Ok... its a basic LT1 3.5, it's Laser Blue Metallic, and by far the nicest car I have ever owned. I am 99.9% happy with it, .1% for the rattle in the drivers door... but hoping to get that fixed soon. Well just wanted to say hi, and hope to be hearing from you all now and again.

Quite an upgrade from a 96 Cavalier. The blue metallic color you have is a really nice color. I saw one in person, and the metallic really does wonders in sunlight.[sm=smiley20.gif]

The door rattle must be common on 2000 up Monte's, because a few of us have noticed the same thing. Myself included. Going to get mine looked at the next time I change the oil.

I love the laser blue metallic color, I just can't find it on any model but the LS, or LT1s for some reason... throughout 06 or 07....

Thanks guys! I love this site, already found tons of great ideas. I just got the windows tinted today, so I will take it out and wash/wax it tomorrow for some pics. Thanks for the comments!
