Smile Another Canadian

Hello everyone, I'm new her but I own a fifth generation Monte Carlo(1997 LS). Its a rather odd story, my mom bought the car brand new and sold it two years later to my grandpa's friend who took a lot of care in maintaining the car over the majority of the time since then. Afterwards my older sister bought the car (about two years ago). I just bought it from her about a month ago. Its been travelling throughout the family. I plan on keeping it forever, I'd like to have it as a classic car. I would like to someday do a l67 swap but first I need to fix the lower intake leak, struts and replace corroded fuel/brake lines and of course save money. with college coming up next year I will have to wait.

Welcome to the Forum!

Thanks for the brief background! That's a unique and cool history about your Monte! Definitely something that adds to the personal interest of the car!

Too funny Lou. Despite all the TV/movie references about the "Canadian" accent, I never really give it thought. BUT, I have spoke with some people from Canada that say A-boot....

It's all good, cause to those who do fit that media-stereotype, I have an American accent and sound silly
