I'm not racing or dragging I just want a nice daily driver dependable head turner.
Just got my 88 2 months ago and I completed:
1. suspension overhauled with OEM
2. shocks and springs
3. front and rear brakes with OEM
4. new gas tank
5. bluetooth radio
Here my question i'm 4.5 out of a 10 mechanically and I really want to get a Turn Key Chevy performance 350 and DIY it. My mech says roughly 600 for him to install the turn key engine. But I really dont know if want to spend $6K on an V8 350 engine. But man oh man how sweet it would be perhaps $7K out the door is my guess and, roughly $1200 to do a Jasper swap i'm saying/guessing $4500 out the door n the jasper rebuild thru my mech. so has anyone seen a detailed DIY engine swap on the sight?

I don't recall seeing anything like that. However I had an 85 Monte Carlo and the shop I have used installed a Jasper engine and it worked fine. I think it comes with a warranty.
You could do a GM crate as well but this is the big money thing.
