Hi, I have been racing a 73 Monte for a couple of years now. It was beyond repair for show or street.

Anyways, does anyone know what other front bumpers fit my 73? I am racing it stock and the front bumper is way too heavy. I have heard that there are other bumpers that fit and are much lighter.

The bumper was way dented when I got the car so I could not have removed and saved it then.

Unfortunately, 1973 Monte Carlo's are there own separate entity..
The bumpers and Bumper fillers are there own design... Meaning no other model years are interchangeable.

I Have done some research, another Gentleman here was looking for the bumper "Filler" Pieces for a 1973... So, I called around only to find out theres no other model year that's interchangeable with the filler pieces either.

Theonly other recommendation.. would be either to find another one... or possibly find one that's made of fiberglass/carbon fiber etc..?

I realize this isn't the answer you were looking for....
But, at least I gave you a cpl options.

Thanks, I raced last night, finished 3rd.. A guy at the track told me the Chevelle 80-90 bolt right on. I might be off on the years but I will check it out.

What kind of racing you doing? Circle track?

By the way what state do you hale from?
