Default 5.3 v8 monte carlo ss 2006

I just bought a monte carlo ss and looking for advice. I have always been a mustang owner (still am) and new to the FWD market. I must say I am very impressed with the power and amazing control this car has!! It feels like it runs 14.5 or so in 1/4 and just about under 6 in 0-60... I totaled my daily driver (08 tribute) last weekend and wanted something i could put my kids in and have a daily toy. This car fit the need. For now i am thinking of basic mods like mufflers and remove resonator, however when the car switches to 4cyl mode will it become high pitch???

The setup in my sig sounds great an no high pitch. I searched tons of sound clips before buying the flowmasters and imo they sound better than the magnaflow kit.

I too will be going the same route as above. I've heard a great sound clip of those mufflers and they're in another post around here some where.

Just simply replacing the mufflers with Flowmaster Super 40's will net a great sound! K&N makes an intake that a lot of us LS4 owners upgrade too and supposedly throttle body spacers actually work well with our cars.

LS1Tech.com will provide more information about performance information on our platform, but this is a great community and I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say welcome!

I was actually thinking of just removing the resonator and hearing what that sounds like with the stock exhaust. If need to be louder then doing the super 40s. Now that i been able to drive the car for a while, it actually seems like the car gets deeper sounding when it switches to 4cyl mode. I will have pix up soon also!!! THANK YOU FOR THE WELCOME GUYS!!!!

Give us a video/sound clip of the resonator delete if you do go that route. I'd like to hear it.

I am going to be diffrent here!!! I am ordering the Summit chambered racing muffler. They are suppost to be unlabeled flowmaster 40series 2 chambers. They are only $25 and i will post a sound clip once i get them on. Hopefully they are just as good sounding and can save others tons of money!!!!
