Default 2004 Monte Carlo SS Dale Jr. Edition

Hello all I am new to the world of motes. I have always had really large trucks and cadillacs. I was given a 2004 monte carlo ss from a very dear friend who passed away. I love the car and I am looking to do some performance modifications to it. I don't know where to start really but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Another friend of mine told me I should change the pulley immediately and I would see noticible power gains. If this is true what should I go with? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dont change the pulley right away. To run a 3.4 like Im sure he wants you to, you need a CAI, exhaust, downpipe or headers, a colder tstat, and spark plugs. You should be fine with that, but find a way to scan for knock.

Welcome to the site! first mods should be CAI, downpipe, tune, colder plugs and T-stat. Then you will have to find a scanner to check for KR.
