Hello Frank and Welcome to the MCF, hope your 04 Monte brings you immense driving pleasures. They actually handle so well, rolls like a dream. Large long doors for easy in and out.

I took my whole On-Star system out so when the cops are chasing me they cannot remotely shut down my Monte... What? It has happened to me 3 times so far Well it could have if they were following me all the time, wait they are always following me, aren't they?

Why do you need and ON-Star mirror you plan on using the ON-Star feature?

Welcome to the group. I have never used the on star mirror, but I am like you. I want it original. I wouldn't want an aftermarket mirror. I would go for exterior mods though.

I had no idea the police could shut down your car. Is this true?

Welcome to Mcf!

Yes I believe OnStar can shut down your car, liability issues may not allow them to do so in a high speed chase though in fear of causing a nasty crash.
