2004 mc
ok just bought a 2004 LS and has 168000 miles on it and runs fine But after i bought it and got it home it now makes a noise when starting as if the starter is continuing to turn over about three or four more times. that is my best guess. any ideas, o and the seat belt stayes on if i use the seat belt but goes out if i don't buckle up. One more thing is it normal for it to act like a 4 wheel drive when you do sharp turns from a stop and it kinda rocks back and forth. Any help and insight would be Appreciated thank you

Welcome to the forum.
I used to have a 96 cavalier that did the exact same thing. It was an electrical switch in under the hood. Can't remember the exact name of the part but literally took 30 seconds to change it. It basically makes the engine continue to turn over until it starts, if that's the problem you are experiencing

Welcome to the forum, cool you have a Monte. Seems like the starters bendix drive is not disengaging and you will be replacing your starter before to much longer. Seat belts are more than likely simply bad wires at the connector buckle. The hopping sounds like your traction control is acting retarded, shut it off on the console push button "Trac Off" and see where that takes you. Could in effect be bad axles on the front.
Thanks I think I figured the seat belt if I wiggle it a bit it will shut off but come back on so I guessing your right about being lose wire. I think I will buy a new bendix and try that. And the guy I bought the car from just replaced the front wheel drive axles. So looks like maybe I might play with the info you gave me see where I get Thank you
