Cool 2003 SS or 2007 SS

I currently own a 2000 LS with approx. 137,000 miles
looking to replace with either a 2003 SS or 2007 SS
I know the 2003 6 cyl had recall do to possible oil leak and fire.
vs 07 with 8 cyl engine = worse gas milage , + 4 yrs younger
Any thoughts or preferences?

I love the 3800. Very reliable and the aftermarket support is very plentiful

Hard to find either one will low miles now without a big price, I agree with Turbo tho, the 3800 is a great motor, good gas mpg, and the oil/fire thing was a recall that can be done for free at dealer if it hasn't already! it was for plug wire channels that could hold oil and run on engine block, if Im not mistaken
