Default 2002 Monte Carlo SS fuel gauge problem

My name is Dwayne and I am new to the group. I am having fuel gauge problems and I am trying to figure the issue. The gauge is showing full when running and the DIC is showing 460 miles to empty. I drove 20 miles and neither one changed. Can someone tell me what the problem is. I am thinking fuel sending unit. The gauge will go to empty when you turn the car off.

Hi Dwayne.

I think you're right about the fuel sending unit. It sends the signal to both the DIC and gauge.

Here's a link from another member with the same problem, unfortunately they haven't followed up with their resolution.

Please be kind enough to let us know what you find when you do.

Thanks plumbob, I might just change the whole fuel pump.

Might as well if has mileage on it since it has to come out anyway.

Default Traction control

Has anyone experienced the traction control light staying on and the traction control button is not working to turn it off.
