Default 2001 Monte Carlo SS

To all;

Great to find this site, I just picked up a 2001 Monte SS with 47,000 miles. I like the way it rides.

I have noticed a couple of issues that others have had;

1 - clunk/chatter from ISS, I have ordered the lube kit and intend to apply some wheel bearing grease.

2 - Temp gauge not working in extremely cold weather, will replace temp sensor and thermostat.

Anyone have a Factory service manual for the 2001's for sale.

Thanks,
Louis

I believe currenlty the procedure calls for use of white lithium grease. I recall in my search for the ISS problem some posts on other GM models that this has effected, some people have experienced longer life or less frequent lubrification by using a wheel bearing type grease.
