"BADGES"
OK, my '05 SS has the "Official Pace Car" Badges. I love the way they look, but i've been told by a few people that the car would look nicer without them. 1. Do most people leave them on or does the car lose value or anything for removing them? and 2. If i did remove them would i have to worry about the paint underneath looking faded? I myself would like to leave them on, but being new to the Monte Carlo i'm not sure what to do.

RE: "BADGES"
As far as looks go, I think all cars look better without the badges. I don't think it will lower the value that much if at all. I took the rear ones off of my monte. Mine is 4 years old and there was no paint fade. If you do take them off here is the procedure:
1. Spray on some 3M adhesive remover and let it run into the badges. Hold a rag underneath the badges so the adhesive remover doesn't run down the car.
2. Use dental floss or fishing line to take the badges off. Hold one end in each hand and use a saw motion to cut as close to the paint of the car as you can while going across the underneath of the badge.
3. Since mine were so old, I had alot of sticky residue left over. I used lighter fluid and strong shop paper towels to get the residue off.

Hi Tom, I Like the clean/ghost look without badges, but if I had
a special or limited edition, I think I would leave them on for
future resale. Your `ride ~ your decision. Post some pic's.

RE: "BADGES"
I just got my monte carlo yesterday and today i took all the badges off. I personally think the car looks much cleaner with them off. But mine is also just the regular Z34. As for a limited edition car, i might keep them on. It might hurt the resale value, but it's really your own opinion. do what you think looks best. If you like them on, I would keep them on, because odds are as soon as you take them off, you're gonna wish you didn't.
