Picks/New Hampshire/Sunday Afternoon
Mwr faced penalties after last week's race but this affects none of us.
This organization was built on cheating. They cheated their way into the chase a couple of years back most notably.
Nascar has 3 big rules. Don't build illegal engines, don't modify the fuel, don't mess with the tires.
They've had illegal engines, and notably had a substance in their fuel attempting to qualify for Daytona in 07.
They're on the way out. Why not if you're out of contention at homestead, just bring a few gallons of Clorox and bleach the tires really good do you can go down in history as the scam team that broke all 3 major rules?

But When in 2000 Dale announced he was hiring MW to drive for him.
It was crazy.......and I was thinking how long has he (D.E.) been smart? Maybe he just wanted to start a Junk yard?
But after all that stuff he did for MW. He goes and does Toyota, kind of like Peeing on his ......?
Now some idiot decided he would make a Race announcer?
I was in Kansas City in 2002 and he was at a Furniture Store near the track and everyone thought I should get his Autograph. I said like what for ?

Just about every time I went to a race he was the cause of a wreck?

We used to have a pool going and we would pick what lap he would wreck out.

What was it John Wayne said " life is tough, it's even tougher when you are stupid".
Thanks for the props during your rundown Duane. It's been a good run. You may like the sponsor of your recent win, but I forgot to brag about the sponsor from my big win. I did mention to my wife that I'm this year best Bojangler. I guess it's too late to go off on that Bojangly tangent again.
I know what you mean about MW drivernumber3. Years ago I was at Martinsville when he was still racing. We were counting how many times he slapped the wall coming out of turn 2. We would have made a drinking game of it, but that much alcohol would have killed us all. 500 laps and I'm not exaggerating when I say it would have been easier to count how many times he didn't hit the wall. He must have hit the wall over 400 times. But I think he is a decent personality and I don't mind him on tv.
I guess Harvick has kind of got to be the guy to watch this weekend. He under more pressure than usual
1. Dale Jr.
2. Kevin Harvick
3. Brad K

I'm on team Penske that hopes they both screw up ( and sort if caused the whole mess anyway)
Let's predict the phantom cautions that will fly as well for fun! All members may offer input and post their evidence thru out the race. Brent and I have a few street rules worked out from the Xfinity race.
Rule 1) any debris NOT shown by TV during the caution period is a phantom debris caution
Rule 2) foam padding, empty drink bottles, large chunks if rubber, grass, etc., are phantom debris cautions
Rule 3) any debris that has actually been on the track for longer than about 10 laps is phantom debris. Usually a member who listens to scanner audio will catch this
Rule 4) any real debris cautions don't count. For example, a large piece of metal, a hood, or anything substantial is not a phantom debris caution.
Rule 5) most obvious phantom debris caution is about 75% thru a fuel run or any time there has not been any raving in the top 5 for about 25 laps
I predict:
Phantom cautions: 4

O think to make things more interesting, a caution that saves contenders from going down a lap should count twice, particularly when this involves alternate put strategies (i.e. a few chase drivers stay out under another caution, then several laps pass so those cars that stayed out are about to pit under green and lose a lap, and a debris caution flies) cautions that save dale jr should count 3 times.
But we let Brent get some input and others chime in and see what we think....
